YouWorking Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cram Cards LLC (“YouWorking,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information through the YouWorking hiring platform (the “Service”). It applies to three groups of people: (1) employers and their team members who create an account (“Employer Users”), (2) job candidates whose information is submitted into the Service, either by an Employer User uploading a resume on their behalf or by the candidate themselves through a public apply link (“Candidates”), and (3) visitors to our marketing website. If you are a Candidate, please read the “Information About Candidates” and “Automated Processing and AI Use” sections closely, they describe how your resume and any recorded interview are handled.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Employer account information
When an Employer User signs up, we collect their name, email address, and the name of their organization. We also collect billing information, which is processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
1.2 Candidate information submitted by an Employer User
An Employer User can upload a candidate’s resume (PDF) directly into the Service. When they do, we extract and store identifying information from that resume, typically the candidate’s name, email, phone number, location, and the full text of the resume, along with the file itself. If you are a Candidate whose resume was uploaded this way, you did not directly interact with YouWorking, the Employer User who is evaluating you submitted your information to us on their own behalf as part of their hiring process. We act as a service provider to that employer for this information; the employer is responsible for having a lawful basis to share your resume with us.
1.3 Candidate information submitted directly by a Candidate
A Candidate can also apply directly through a public “apply link” or widget published by an employer. When you do this, we collect the resume file you upload, its full extracted text, and, if you choose to provide them, your name and email. We also automatically log a hashed version of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string with your submission, for fraud and abuse prevention.
1.4 Video and audio interviews
If a Candidate is invited to record an interview, the Service requests access to your camera and microphone and records video (or audio only, if you decline camera access) of your answers. Before recording starts, you are shown a notice and must affirmatively consent. We also collect the name and email you optionally provide at that step, along with basic device and browser information. Your recording is uploaded to secure, access-controlled storage and is then:
- Transcribed into text, using an automated speech-to-text service (see “Subprocessors” below), including timestamps and, where technically detectable, speaker segments; and
- Analyzed by an AI/automated system against the criteria the employer set for the role, producing a score, a summary, a retention-risk indicator, and “highlights”, short excerpts of your answers tied to specific moments and topics.
See “Automated Processing and AI Use” below for more detail on this analysis.
1.5 Resume scoring and AI-generated evaluation content
Regardless of how a resume reaches us, we send its extracted text, together with the employer’s job description and scoring criteria, to an automated AI system, which returns a score, evidence quotes drawn from your resume, and, where applicable, flags for things like short job tenure, unexplained employment gaps, or a mismatch with stated requirements (“red flags”). We store this AI-generated output alongside your submitted information.
1.6 Automatically collected information
We use a session cookie to keep Employer Users signed in. If you arrived via a referral link, we also set a short-lived cookie to attribute your signup to that referral. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies or tracking pixels on the Service.
2. Automated Processing and AI Use
YouWorking’s core function is to help employers screen candidates faster using automated tools. To be direct about what that means:
- Resumes are scored by an AI system against criteria the employer chose, and the AI quotes the parts of your resume it relied on for each score.
- Recorded interviews are transcribed by an automated speech-to-text service and then analyzed by an AI system, which generates a score, a written summary, a retention-risk indicator, and short highlighted clips/quotes tied to specific answers.
- These outputs are decision-support tools for the employer. They do not make the hiring decision. A human at the hiring organization reviews this information and decides whether to interview, advance, or hire a candidate.
- If you are located in a jurisdiction that requires specific disclosures about the use of artificial intelligence in hiring (for example, Illinois’ AI Video Interview Act), the notice and consent screen shown to you before recording is intended to satisfy that requirement; contact us using the details below if you have questions about how your specific interview was analyzed.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate the Service: importing, scoring, and ranking resumes; sending and collecting recorded interviews; generating scorecards and highlights; and letting Employer Users review and compare candidates.
- To communicate: sending Employer Users account, billing, and product notifications, and sending Candidates interview invitations and reminders on behalf of the employer that invited them.
- To bill for the Service, through Stripe.
- To maintain and secure the Service, including fraud and abuse prevention.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Candidate resumes or interview recordings for advertising or to build profiles about you outside of the specific job application you submitted them for.
4. Who We Share Information With (Subprocessors)
We share information with the following categories of service providers, each acting on our instructions to help operate the Service. We do not permit them to use your information for their own independent purposes.
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider. Resumes, recordings, transcripts, and all application data are stored here.
- Stripe — payment processing for Employer Users’ subscriptions.
- Resend — sends transactional emails (account emails, interview invitations and reminders, billing receipts, notifications).
- Inngest — runs background processing jobs (scoring a newly uploaded resume, running the transcription/analysis pipeline after an interview is submitted, sending reminders, and our data-retention job described below).
- OpenRouter (and the underlying AI model providers it routes to) — performs resume scoring and interview-transcript analysis.
- Deepgram — transcribes interview recordings to text. If Deepgram is unavailable, we fall back to OpenAI’s Whisper model for transcription only.
- ElevenLabs — converts interview questions to speech so they can be read aloud to Candidates during recording; falls back to the candidate’s own browser text-to-speech if unavailable.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of YouWorking or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this Policy would continue to apply to your information under the new owner).
5. Data Retention
Employer Users control how long Candidate data is retained through a configurable retention period (90 days by default, adjustable by the employer). When that period elapses for a given candidate, we automatically anonymize their directly identifying information (name, email, phone, and any LinkedIn URL on file). We do not automatically delete the underlying resume file, interview recording, transcript, or AI-generated scores at that time, those are retained for the employer’s record-keeping and compliance purposes unless deleted earlier as described below.
If an Employer User cancels their subscription, their data is not deleted, it remains accessible if they resubscribe. If an Employer User’s organization account is deleted entirely, associated records are removed from our database; underlying files (resumes, recordings) may take longer to be purged from storage as part of that process.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at team@youworking.com. Because some of these requests (in particular, deleting a specific resume or interview recording) are currently handled manually rather than through a self-service tool, please include enough detail (your name, the employer/job you applied to, and approximately when) for us to locate your record. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
If your interview was analyzed using AI and you are located in a jurisdiction that gives you the right to request destruction of that recording (for example, under Illinois law), contact us using the details above and we will honor that request for the recording itself.
If you believe an Employer User has uploaded your resume without appropriate authority to do so, contact us and we will work with you and, where appropriate, the employer to resolve it.
7. Data Security
Resumes and interview recordings are stored in access-controlled storage that is not publicly readable. We use industry-standard encryption in transit. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by the Service.
8. International Users
The Service is operated from, and primarily intended for, employers and candidates in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not offer the same level of data protection as your home country.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for use by working-age adults in an employment context and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
